“I Love the 90s Tour” is a compilation of all of the songs you dance to in your car.
One-hit-wonders are banding together for a collaboration tour across the U.S. Favorites like Color Me Badd, Vanilla Ice, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, and other artists whose second song just didn’t make the cut will be performing our nostalgic favorites.
The tour is expected to sell 500,000-600,000 tickets, more than these artists have sold for a tour on an individual basis. The tour is expected to gross $30-$35 million as now soccer mom’s and retired Vanilla Ice-look-alikes aim to remember the good ol’ days.
May of these songs hit number one for consecutive weeks; appealing to multiple demographics, which is success in itself, and continue to maintain relevance in pop-culture today. Who doesn’t know Ice Ice Baby, or Push It?
The tour is coming to Engelwood, CO on July 1st, which is not a ton of time to plan a trip, but the tour producers have a planned sequel next year, I Love the 90s: The Party Continue, so be on the look out in the next year.
